Our Baby Suite has two rooms, the first for our tinier babies from 3 months upwards and our other room is for babies approximately 12 months upwards who may be beginning to toddle around and who are slightly more active.
It is crucial that our new babies settle into nursery life as seemlessly as possible which is why we aim to create a 'home from home' environment, which is quiet and relaxed to help them feel safe and secure. The Baby Suite is self contained with it's own changing facilities and also a kitchen area for preparing bottles and feeds. There are sofa's and cosy chairs for feeding or just for those special cuddle times ! We also operate a 'No Shoe' policy for parents and visitors to ensure that our baby rooms remain clean and hygienic.
Each of our rooms in the Baby Suite has access to their own grassed, outdoor area with canopy's allowing free-flow provision to outside for some good old fresh air and a play. Play experiences have a more sensory and holistic feel, with lots of treasure baskets, mirrors and messy play as well as soft books and toys, fabrics and bubble play. All resources and equipment are sterilised and cleaned regularly to reduce cross-infection.
All our staff hold a childcare qualification and have lots of experience in caring for younger babies, and many have children too giving them a greater understanding of parents worries and concerns.
Our 'Parent-Partnership' begins when a child commences with us. Our staff will complete a comprehensive induction with a parent, ensuring that they gather as much information as possible about their child's routine, likes and dislikes, dietary requirements etc. Also each day our staff will record in a child's 'Home to Nursery' book which informs parents about their day, with information regarding sleeps, bottles, meals and nappies.
This is the first step for children and their families to join with us to ensure the best possible start in life and to ensure their 'Learning Journey' ahead is a happy, fulfilled and exciting one !
